October 8, 2026
Most of what's on in Pacific City this October happens at three addresses on Cape Kiwanda Drive: 34600, 33305 and 33000. The weekday classes, the Wednesday night music and the town's one big fall festival all fit on a single stretch of road.
The newest of those addresses is the one with the longest history. The October 10–11 festival takes place on ground that ran as its own campground for half a century and only became part of its neighbor in 2025. That merger explains why the fall calendar looks the way it does.
Kiawanda Community Center, at 34600 Cape Kiwanda Dr., holds nearly every recurring event on the Pacific City Sun's October calendar. Here's the first full week of the month, as the Sun lists it:
| Day | Program | Time | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mon., Wed., Fri. | Yoga | 9–10 a.m. | $10 per class |
| Mon., Wed., Fri. | Pacific City Walking Wonders, meeting at the center | 10 a.m. | No cost listed; contact via tillamookcountywellness.org |
| Monday | Stitchers | 4–9 p.m. | $6 |
| Tuesday | Tuesday Stitchers | 10 a.m.–4 p.m. | $6 |
| Tue., Thu. | "Fit & Fab" exercise class | 9 a.m. | $15 monthly |
| Tue., Wed. | Senior Meals | 11:30 a.m. | $3 seniors, $6 family and friends |
| Thursday | Tai Chi in Faye Jensen Hall | 10:30 a.m. | $10 monthly, first class free |
| Thursday | Bingo | 1 p.m. | Listed at kiawanda.com |
Evenings and weekends fill in from there. Line dancing for all levels ran Saturday, Oct. 3, from 7 to 8 p.m. Sound Bowl Sunday, a crystal sound bowl meditation in Faye Jensen Hall, is on tonight, Oct. 4, at 6:30 p.m. for $10.
The building is also where the town's business community meets. The Pacific City–Nestucca Valley Chamber of Commerce holds its monthly luncheon at the center on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at noon, with a featured speaker, reports from public agencies, networking and an optional lunch. Senior Meals are served half an hour earlier in the same building.
The one regular weekday event a block off the main road is at South Tillamook County Library, 6200 Camp St. Adult language conversations run there from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, and the second Thursday of each month is French.
On Wednesdays, things shift down the road to Meridian Restaurant & Bar at Headlands Lodge, 33000 Cape Kiwanda Dr. Headlands calls its Coastal Chords & Corks series Wednesday live music with special wine offerings. Every Wednesday in October has a show, each running 5 to 8 p.m.:
The series isn't only a fall thing. Earlier 2026 listings include Lynn Conover on Wednesday, April 15, and Tevis Hodge Jr. on Wednesday, September 23. Meridian lists daily hours of 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., so a 5 p.m. set can follow a regular dinner. Meridian is also on the November calendar, with Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, Nov. 26, from noon to 6 p.m.
Headlands Lodge also sponsored the community beach cleanup at Cape Kiwanda Day Use Parking on Saturday, Oct. 3. Stimulus Coffee + Bakery provided free coffee, cider and treats. Both of those businesses turn up again at the festival the following weekend.
Hart's Camp's own history explains the third address. For more than 50 years, the original Cape Kiwanda RV Park ran on 10 acres across the street from the beach, Haystack Rock and Cape Kiwanda. Hart's Camp opened next door in 2017 as a four-acre property built around Airstream trailers. In 2022, the RV park's owners sold to the owners of Hart's Camp. By April 2025, the two had merged into one 14-acre property under the Hart's Camp name, with 147 RV, van and tent sites, 7 Airstreams, 11 cottages and 17 cabins. Noble House Hotels & Resorts took over management in 2024. A March 2024 trade report said founders Jeff Schons and Mary Jones stayed on as owners when Noble House became part-owner and operator.
Cape Kiwanda Marketplace, at 33305 Cape Kiwanda Drive, is the property's on-site market. It sells fresh seafood, specialty meats and cheeses, beer and wine, grab-and-go food, ice cream, gifts and camping and beach supplies. It's also the venue for Bigfoot at the Beach, the Hart's Camp fall festival. It runs Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Tillamook Coast visitor site describes the festival as something Hart's Camp holds each fall, so this is a returning event.
ZuhG Life Presents curated the music:
The festival is free. Hart's Camp lists food trucks, tractor-pulled dory rides, a Bigfoot tracker challenge, and s'mores, hot cocoa and cider. More than 30 vendors are on the list, and plenty are local names: Pelican Brewing Company, Stimulus Coffee + Bakery, Seasmoked, Oceancider Farm, Sweet Revenge Home Bakery, South County Creations, Mary the Knitter and West Coast Weiners.
Before the merger, there was no 14-acre property under one operator on this stretch of road to host an event like this. Now the town's main fall weekend sits a short distance from the restaurant hosting Wednesday music and the community center hosting weekday classes.
The rest of the month's draws depend on the tide. The Inn at Cape Kiwanda lists the Neskowin Ghost Forest as a low-tide outing for all of October 2026, with no street address given. Check a tide table before driving south.
Next month, the calendar comes back to the dune. Oregon's King Tides are listed for November 23–27 at Cape Kiwanda Day Use Parking. According to Oregon State Parks, Cape Kiwanda is open for day use year-round. Parking takes a $10 county day-use pass, and it's about a quarter-mile walk on sand to the dune. Bob Straub State Park is also open for day use all year, with beach access, parking, restrooms and a one-day permit you can buy on site.
A few items aren't confirmed yet. As of February 2026, the Pacific City Dorymen's Association still listed Trick or Treat the Dory Fleet 2026 as "TBA." The free weekend Pacific City Shuttle between Bob Straub and Whalen Island started its 2026 season on May 23, but its announcement didn't give an end date. The multi-use path planned from Cape Kiwanda parking to Bob Straub is part of later Kiwanda Corridor phases, and as of February 2026 those phases were still waiting on funding. For a weekly view as dates firm up, the Pacific City Sun calendar is the place to check.
